I just know that it's not a real commonly accepted practice in the 21st century, which seems to be around where most people are coming from. Never quite understood that. Be nice if that's one thing we could change starting fresh here and everything, but I'm not holding my breath.
Point is, while I can definitely understand the idea of both parties sticking together if they're planning on keeping their child, I think it's pretty ridiculous to expect it to be the best one in all cases.
