I can't fathom how anyone could ever dislike a place like this.

I don't think anybody ever really does. After all, we're all here to rebuild. We wouldn't be here if we didn't want to be.

I think some people do have a certain amount of missing home, though. Missing loved ones.

That's a fair point.

I find myself missing home and friends, every once in a while. Though, I'm sure not all of them would like it here.

People from home have been here before, and they've returned home. I don't know what their reasoning was, but knowing home the way I do, they all had good reasons.

I miss some of the people from home, in a strange way. I wasn't friends with many of them, but I still knew them. I don't regret being here, of course. Far from that, but even so.

It makes me wonder if anyone from home will show up here. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

If we didn't miss them at least a little, then we wouldn't be human. Even if we might not known them very well. Where's home for you? Mine's Seattle.

You never know. It might take a while -- sometimes it did for me.

Mine's California.
