Let me start with the requisite, you don't know me and you have no reason to trust me because of it. You could ask Gabriel Gray, who I believe lives with you, whether or not I'm to be trusted, but I'll understand if you choose not to completely go off of what he says either. After all, we've only talked a few times, he's never seen my face and likely never will, and the first time we spoke he caught me peeking around your security system-- which is beautiful by the way, as computer programming goes. You should be proud.
Under these circumstances I wouldn't trust me completely. That said, I have an offer, one that I'm hoping will benefit the both of us.
Circumstances prevent me from physically persuing crime the way I used to, and the 'crime' here is severely different from what I'm used to where I'm originally from. I'm perfectly willing to admit that I'm not the expert here that I was there, and it's taking time for me to build my files on Los Angeles' residents, both good and bad. That said, I do have the files, along with access to every computer in this city-- yours included, if I had about forty-eight hours of spare time. But then, I'm one of the good guys. What's more I have video access and control of that access, from any convenience store, bank, or CEO's office with a security camera. Where I'm from, I used this information to lead a team that cleaned up our city. But while I'm used to freaks-of-the-weeks that've fallen into vats of chemicals, been given powers, and had their daddy issues amplified by ten thousand, vampires, demons, and monsters are most definitely not my forte.
That's why I want to offer to help you. Make no mistake, I don't want your team. I just want to help, and I've come to the conclusion that offering to help you is going to do more good than me just watching all this footage I have and not being able to do a thing about it. I don't know how many vampire attacks I've seen since I arrived here, but unfortunately when I say I can't do anything, I really do mean that. My information is going to be more useful in your hands and I've watched the people who live with you enough to know that I'd trust you to do the right thing with it.
Consider the full dossier I've sent to be a sign of goodwill. The attached files have all the information on the city's residents that I've managed to collect in the months I've been here. Some of it is more detailed than the rest, but I do what I can. You might find something useful in there somewhere.
Hopefully I'll hear back from you soon.
