She was so happy, she could have done a happy dance right then and there. And likely would have, too, if not for the possibility that she might lose signal and not be able to wrap up this call.
So she stayed where she was, grinning so broadly her face practically hurt. "Oh, thank God," she breathed a sigh of relief, giving a small half-laugh and adding, "and you, too, of course."
The thought of a full night of sleep without jumping at every little sound was so tempting, she very nearly hung up right there herself. And then she heard his question and realized that telling him where she lived would be a good idea.
"Oh! Duh," she laughed softly. "Right. Uh, it's called the Fine Line Body Shop, on East 59th Street. Just south of East Slauson Avenue and Avalon Boulevard. I live right above the shop itself. You can't miss it."
There was a brief pause and then she asked, "So... when should I expect to see you?" She really hoped it wasn't going to take him too long. But, for all she knew, he was busy with other things and it could be weeks before he showed up. Her stomach churned in dread at the very thought.
