It was impossible to keep her heart rate steady, something she found completely unfair as she found herself pressed against the door, with Spike basically pressed against her. Not that she was complaining. She didn't know what had made her choose Spike. She'd always love Angel, but being with him was next to impossible if she didn't want to end the world. And he did seem to constantly keep a distance, where as Spike was always there is she looked. The fact that he was never aging was just something she was going to push out of her head until it was something she had to deal with. Right now, she didn't.
Memories of the Halloween when she had been turned into a girl from centuries before her time flooded her memory. She'd met a pirate that night, and frankly, he smelled. One hand reached up to grap onto the fabric of his shirt, tugging him just a bit closer, not that he could really get much closer at the moment. "As long as you keep all your teeth and turn into a pirate that showers." she said with a smirk. "Though I can't picture you with an eyepatch." The was Xanders thing. Will Turner, circa the third Pirates movie was fine with her.
The smallest of smirks came to her face as she did her best not to laugh. "All those puppies, and kittens, they might decide they like you more than me. How will I go on?" Or they might decide that if there wasn't such thing as kitten poker.
She knew this side of him, and she also knew that usually she was the only one to see it. It was extremely hard to ignore that side of him, though lord knew she had tried. She'd tried many times. He'd made his was into her heart and she knew he was never going to leave. She thought she had been to late when she realized that. The earth had been collapsing around them, and then that was it. But here he was. Aroogant and cocky as always, but someone different with her. "What about any old ladies, do I need to be jealous of them?"
