Both of her eyebrows raised as Cathy spoke. Clearly, the woman was crazy. But she was polite enough, so Clary staid silent and listened to what she had to say. Her eyebrows knitted together when the woman held up the phone, and Clary say a photo of herself and a blond girl she did not know, though she did sort of look like the woman infront of her.
For a few moments she was silent, staring at the photo.
The sad part was? She almost wanted to believe the woman. Where ever she had got this photo to photoshop, Clary looked happy. When was the last time she was that happy? She didn't recognize it. Maybe she was just faking it. But it looked nice, and she could go for that.
Smiling slightly, Clary shook her head. "I haven't been allowed to carve a pumpkin since I was five." her father had decided it was a pointless activity. "That's some pretty good photoshop skills though." she pointed out. It wouldn't be the first time she'd seen herself photoshoped. She'd done it multiple times in design class.
Adjusting her backpack, she glanced to the store again, and then decided it she'd better just skip out. Best get home. "That actually sounds kind nice." she said, taking a few steps back. "Sadly magic doesn't exist in my world, and right now reality is calling." she shrugged slightly, smiling. "Sorry." she had no idea what the woman wanted from her.
But she had to go get ready for that stupid dinner before the other half of her face turned blue.
