"It might." Dean said honestly. "There is something inside of you that doesn't belong. That something probably isn't going to be very happy at the thought of coming out, but you will feel so much better when it's gone, Ruby."
He looked her directly in the eyes, nothing but honesty clear on his face. "Without this, Ruby, you're always going to feel like that when you come into contact with salt. You'll never be able to enter a church without worrying about holy water, you're going to be subject to fear and worry and your body won't be your own."
Dean himself was scared. He had never done this on his own before without Angus there to guide him, but he did not want to spend more time with the older man just now than he had to. A guilty conscience had limited who he could talk to now. "I know you're scared, and that's normal, but your Dad is still here. He'll be right here, where he can get to you if you need him.
