Clark had left his room and walked down the stairs. As he stood in the lobby, looking around, the doors opened.
Seemed to be a mailman. "Sir? I was told to deliver something to a Mr. Clark Kent." He held up a package. "Just need him to sign for it. Is he here?"
Clark nodded. "That's me." He signed on the clipboard, then took the small package.
"All set. Have a good day.. err, night.." The man left, looking a bit nervous.
Clark went to sit at the stone circular slab in the center of the lobby. "Hmm.." The envelope had his name, and the address of the hotel. No return address, but he recognized the markings as stationery used by the Swann Foundation. He mumbled, "Swann..."
The package had a red seal on it, an ornate V. He opened it up, pulling out a small book, which seemed to be aged a bit. He opened the first page, seeing a slip of paper.. a note.

Clark folded the paper and put it in his pocket. It had to be his old friend, the late Virgil Swann. He was the one man, a brilliant man, who had told him of his true origins and heritage. But as he opened the book, his eyes widened slightly as he turned the pages.
There were words, yes, along with diagrams. But... they were not in English. Nor in any other known language, for that matter. No. The book, it's entire text.. it was all written in Kryptonian. "Well.. this is interesting." He smiled slightly and then began to read...
