Darla spun away from him then turned to face him, both glad they could now get down to business and almost wishing the dance hadn't stopped. That same smile - the grin that showed she found great enjoyment in this impromptu meeting - remained as she answered with a partial laugh, "I pay in cash, and the amount isn't an issue. When you've been alive for a few centuries, you learn to invest."
Flipping her long, blond hair away from her shoulder, the smile slowly disappeared and in its place was a more serious expression. It was time to get down to business.
"Her name is Kathy McAvera," she began. "She's the younger sister of a Champion who roams these streets known as Angel. I want her brought to me - in one piece, and I don't want him aware that I'm the one who has her." Her smile slowly returned. "Not yet, at least."
Tilting her head a bit, she questioned, "Do you think you can handle that? I know it isn't as exciting as staking vampires while singing in the rain, but if you can manage it, I'm sure I can find many more interesting things to occupy your time."
