"I wanted to share it," Castiel replied simply, still holding her close as he looked down over the city. Night had already fallen this late in the year and the lights of the city had come alive. It looked so busy. And so small.
"It is small, really," he agreed with her. "And really so fragile. Everything that goes on down there. Demons and people, all just trying to exist together. It can all be so easily broken."
Threats came in all the time, ranging from the demonic and powerful to the all too human. Some with grand plans, others with just selfish desires, all came to the strange city below them.
"I sometimes think it's only when I'm up here that I am really reminded of how vulnerable they all are down there."
