Someone was trying to wake her up, she became aware of that, and a second later aware of the feeling that her head felt like it was trying to split open. When was the last time she had a headache that bad? A few weeks ago, though someone had healed her before it got bad. So why hadn't someone drawn the rune yet? That was what usually happened. You get hurt- you get healed, right? It took her a minute to remember that she wasn't at home. She was in LA. Memories of the fight came back to her. It hadn't really been a fight though, more like Clary getting her ass kicked and Cathy-
Oh hell, Cathy.
Focus. Someone who knew her name was beside her, she could feel the persons hand. A woman, it had sounded like a woman. She began to stir, and slowly opened her eyes, only to shut them again when the light assaulted her vision. It was still day time. Either the attack happened yesterday - which she doubted because Cathy's husband would have showed up before then, or the attack had only just happened recently.
"Cathy." she said breathlessly. "They took Mrs. McDonald." not that she had the slightest clue who they were, though if she thought about it probably wouldn't be that hard to figure out.
Try to force her body to move, her head- followed by her stomach screamed in protest. Keeping her eyes shut, she reached for her pocket to pull out her stele- it looked like a tricked out pen. "Can you use this?" she asked, holding it up to the woman. She hadn't got a good look at her yet, and she forced her eyes opened to see who it was.
She recognized her. Ruby, that was her name. "Like a pen." she explained. "Here." she used her other arm to roll up the sleeve on her arm. On her upper arm was a scar that looked like some sort of celtic design. "Trace the design." unless Ruby had some sort of healing power, this was the fastest way to ease the pounding in her head.
