Izzy gave a little giggle at that. "Not like I'll be telling everyone about it at show-and-tell or anything," she teased haughtily, rolling her eyes. Then, she sobered. "But it's pretty cool."
She wasn't expecting for him to turn the tables back on her, and that only made it trickier. There were tons of things she wanted to tell him, but she was torn. Many of those same things should be a surprise, just like they had been in Izzy's timelines. Those things, like finding out that her Mama wasn't going to be sent back home on the same day she was born, made for the very best stories. And anyway, Izzy wasn't so sure she'd have wanted anything to happen differently, and what if telling ruined that?
"Just that you guys are the best," she replied quietly, glancing down at the table. But there was one thing. She pondered it for a moment, taking the responsibility of telling very seriously. Deciding it was okay, she gave a slight nod, and indication that she was about to speak. Telling him 'what' didn't tell him how, probably wouldn't change things too badly. "Even if you won't teach me magic."
It was something she begged and pleaded with him over on a regular basis at home, she was that enraptured with what her father could do. Little known to her, she had only seen the tip of the iceberg when it came to her dad's abilities in magic.
"You're a really good warlock," she informed him, finding it funny that she even had to tell him in the first place. "One of the very best in the whole city. Maybe even the world." The last part may have been a vote of confidence from someone who adored him, but the way she saw it, he certainly was. "But you won't teach me." At least, not anytime in the foreseeable future.
