Jacen nodded, just slightly, in Sam's direction. He knew. He knew that Sam didn't want to take a demon's blood from anyone, let alone someone he knew. And definitely not from one of the best friends of his girlfriend. Tenel Ka would be safe, he believed in that.
And Eve was just back to being funny.
"You do realize it took a decade of very specific events to create Caedus last time don't you," he looked more bemused than anything else as he looked at the Liaison. "And really, you think you can create something you can control? My dear Eve, you know nothing of the ways of the Sith."
After all, he had been training his younger cousin with the intention that the Apprentice would eventually kill his Master, as it should be.
"Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me," he recited the code of the Sith from memory, smirking at Eve. "You create a Sith Lord, he will destroy you no matter what you try. That is how the Sith are."
The guards moved to remove him from the room, even as the annoying shocks continued to move through his body. Jacen glanced from Eve to them to Sam. Even though he hated to say anything in front of Eve, he felt he had no choice. "Sam, you're better than her. You're stronger than the need and you can beat her. Faith believes in you, she wouldn't be with you if she didn't. We're going to get out of here, just believe it." Faith believed in Sam and Tenel Ka believed in him. And Jacen was determined that neither of them would let their rather headstrong and scary when they were angry women down.
