Cathy had to laugh at that. "I think you might be surprised," she told Clary with a wink. "I'll tell you what, it's probably not the best time right now with everything going on, but I can make a call over to A.I. for you. See if there's someone who can sit down with you and figure something out?"
That part of her job--helping a resident to figure out where to go next-- was one that required the coordination and cooperation of both Angel Investigations and Wolfram and Hart, and to the credit of both, they had upheld their ends of the bargain. But, in Clary's case, it did seem the next natural progression to seek out A.I., and there was no doubt in Cathy's mind that someone would be able to help her.
"As I said, Nathan can fabricate records. Keep that quiet, obviously," she reassured the girl. "But if you wanted to go back to high school, it's a definite possibility. I think you should consider it."
Izzy glared into the fridge, as though willing the cookies to appear in front of her. When she finally located them, her face lit up and she nodded vigorously, pulling the package off of the shelf and handing them to Clary.
"These," she told her, matter-of-fact. "They look like pumpkins, but they taste just like normal sugar cookies only better 'cause they're for Halloween." She had a special fondness for the holiday, and all it encompassed, including seasonal cookies.
