"Yes, I know it," he said with a laugh. He liked talking to this one, to Fred. He was already cheering up from their talking. He paused, then shrugged and added, "Actually, I was sorta set on joining them one day. Not now, you know, 'cause of school stuff, plus I'm a bit too young at the moment. I'd probably look ridiculous holding a stake or axe, or a long overcoat. I'm not really too special, just.. a few little things. I'd probably be good at studying." It was a nice prospect. He did have talents, but mostly just affecting machinery or making others feel good if he used touch while talking. He'd heard of the monsters, the demons and vampires lurking about. But he'd never actually met one in person until recently. Of course, the way his last encounter was about to go, he likely wouldn't have lived long enough to even grow up and join Team Good Guy.
He nodded after giving her query some thought. His father had never showed him on the boards, though they didn't really use them back home. "I.. well, sure. You could show me how you do it, and I'll try to make one after that. There's some people that I don't ever want to see what I write, like bad lawyers. They're the ones I don't want to know I'm here." His dad had even stressed that, along with an opinion that he'd be better off if he didn't sign any contracts or have anything at all to do with the firm. "I guess boards are kinda like.. email too, right? Like if you just filter it to one person only. I guess that helps when you don't know the number or email addy thing."
