Sam had sort of been hoping that Faith would have been enthusiastic about the lack of parental titles. Her reluctant agreement to the name left him suddenly feeling like a clown standing in a crowd of mimes - out of place and incredibly foolish. "I'm not really..." He was not a father. He was not a Dad. Could he really take to being called either right now? "If you want, you can call me...that."
Michael watched the both of them, slightly amused at how awkward and uncomfortable they seemed to be at the idea of being dubbed his parents. It was one thing to know that they'd be them in the future, he supposed, but it was another to actually be given those titles by their future child. He kind of wanted to see how often he could say it to Dad now, if only to see what it required to make him explode.
Which was a little mean. But he did make funny faces.
...they both did, actually.
"I'll try not to call you names too often?" Michael could negotiate. Sort of. "'Cause Sam and Faith sounds kinda weird to me."
