"And we're gonna," Sam added, "we're going to make sure that nothing happens to you except a safe trip home when the time comes." If that time ever did come around. Sam feared that they'd be stuck in some weird reality where they already had their future child, then they'd end up putting themselves in the situation where said child would end up being born, in which they'd end up with two versions of the same child in the same place. One younger, one older. Also, Sam was creeping himself out with these thoughts about Faith possibly even getting pregnant. That came with the children territory, however. Even if it wasn't something he had thought too extensively into beyond that chat with Faith about being careful.
Oh god, they'd have to resort to magical methods as well. There had to be something that they could use that was stronger than the every day birth control...
"Okay." Michael took another bite out of his ice cream cone, still feeling a bit uncertain about things. He was actually pretty sure that he and a young Ben would get into a lot of trouble, so he wasn't going to argue there. But just like the two of them, Michael was confused about the hows and whens of the situation as well. He wanted to stay here, sort of. If only because his parents were safe. It was awkward and weird, but at least they were here. "What about school? What about that stuff?"
Sam looked over at Faith, clearly uncertain on an answer to that one. "We don't know how long you're gonna be here. Enrolling you in school only to have you go missing the next second would be a little...odd looking, don't you think?"
