Leave it to Veronica to make a bad situation worse and land in trouble. Van Clemmons was right, it really did follow her around. As she listened to Gunn, she couldn't help but feel bad for him, even as he grew more hostile and ripped off the door to the weapon's cabinet.

She watched him grab the flail. She was scared, but she wasn't going to show it. "You're wasting your time." she told him. "I'm invulnerable." she told him, and to prove her point, she picked up the letter opener and jammed it through her other palm. She shrieked and then pulled it out, and watched as the wound closed on it's own. She felt a little weaker, that maybe wasn't the best idea.
"And it really sucks that that happened to you and all, but I'm not really in the mood for your sob story." she winced a little. She was ready even if he decided to attack her anyway.
"You have no idea what I can do." she pointed out. Unfortunately if what she could do fell into the wrong hands...it would be very bad.
