"We're honest with each other," was the only reply. He didn't want to explain to Jack that it wasn't just sex between them, not on his end anyway. This wasn't his Jack. It didn't matter if he knew.
"There was an incident with faeries shortly after," he explained. "Estelle is dead." He continued on, telling about the cannibals, hands shaking slightly at the memory of the cleaver pressed against his throat, about Tosh and Mary, Suzie's return, Eugene, and the visitors from the past. "When Diane left," he explained, "Owen was understandably upset...it affected his work and he nearly let himself be killed by a weevil. Some time after, you and Tosh got stuck in 1941...with the real Jack Harkness. Owen tried to use the Rift Manipulator...I shot him but he still managed it."
"You two came back but the Rift was out of control. We had to open the rift fully to repair the damage. You didn't agree...Owen...he killed you. And you came back." He looked down. "The rift was repaired but Abaddon was released. You stopped it, but it killed you. You were dead for days before you finally came back. I thought..." he shook his head. "And then you left. You didn't say anything to anyone, you just left, with your Doctor. You wanted him to fix you. Gwen took charge while you were gone. She and Rhys got engaged...they're married now. You came back about a month later...but I don't know how long you were actually gone, since you were travelling in time." He paused now to let all this sink in.
