She gave Cathy a 'duh' look, hands planted on her hips. "Of course with the icing," she replied before breaking out in a big smile. An afternoon of shopping and a pretzel. She couldn't wait to spend that time with Cathy, already having plenty of questions to ask and things to tell her. "That sounds good. I'd like that." It would make it easier to sleep in some place so unfamiliar.
The room was smaller than she was used to but the futon looked comfortable. There were books piled up all over the place, the titles of some making Izzy wrinkle her nose. Law and demonology books. Nothing that struck her as interesting, at least not yet.
She leaned into Cathy, her hands clasped under her chin as she stared at the screen, trying to pick one song of many for her to find. "Crazy Dreams by Carrie Underwood." It was one of her favorite songs. Her father would turn the sound way up and she'd throw out her arms and spin, because he said it was her song. "Is it out yet?"
