Madra had been running around, just too excitable all morning. As much as Faith tried to focus on sorting out her patrol schedules, by the time the afternoon rolled around, she surrendered, putting the pen down and looking down at the deceptively innocent looking puppy.
"You wanna go out or something?"
The puppy barked as if to say 'yes, stop being so boring!' before Faith rolled her eyes, grabbing his leash to take him out for a walk.
Once she was outside, Faith realized how much she was craving a coffee, a caffeine hit to chase away the cobwebs trying to work had left in her head. Her mind made up, she headed in the direction of a good cafe, Madra trotting along happily next to her.
She was just entering the place, when Madra took her by surprise, jerking off and almost knocking over a nearby table, where a guy was sitting with a notebook.
"Oh, god, sorry," Faith apologized, picking the puppy up before she glanced at the guy, almost distractedly before she did a double take. There was something oddly familiar about him, though she was pretty certain they'd never met. "Sorry, do I know you?" She half laughed. "Kinda got this feeling like we've met."
