Cordy grinned at the 'bad enough' statement, though likely for different reasons. "I'll bet it was." The fact that she had yet to have any contact with Lindsey since her arrival in the city, outside of the boards, didn't have much significance as of yet. Supposedly, he had made some different decisions-- gotten married, left the firm...hell, he'd even been a help to A.I. when it came to taking down the Scourge. That, she couldn't necessarily ignore, and maybe she was being unfair...but it was going to take a lot more than one incident to change her opinion of the lawyer.
"Retrieval specialist?" she repeated doubtfully, dropping her voice so that the conversation stayed between the two of them. "So you're like, a thief. Only you take things that already belonged to the person who hired you?" She shrugged. "I'm with Angel Investigations. I have visions."
That was barely the tip of the iceberg, but at this point, she was far more interested in this 'retrieval specialist' who looked so much like a certain mortal enemy.
