"Yeahhh. I did say that, didn't I?" She winced, hands slipping into the pockets of her coat. "Would it make any difference if I revoked the sewer statement?" She offered a smile, almost hesitant. It was unnerving to realize that she knew next to nothing about this guy, even though she could have picked his face out in a crowd.
"So what's your deal?" she questioned with a tilt of her head, scrutinizing. "Good guy, bad guy, evil lawyer?" Probably not, but there was no harm in asking.
