"Actually, that might work," he said to the private tutors idea. "Though, I don't know where we'd find tutors willing to instruct a young girl from the 1700s. Back then, especially in Ireland, girls were not...educated. They were taught how to be proper ladies and take care of the household for their husbands. With Kathy's education, we're going to have to start from scratch."
He was silent for a moment, lost in thought, and then said: "For now, I think we should take turns teaching her. Start with basic math and language--things we all pretty much know. I'll look into a private tutor. There's bound to be someone who won't question if paid enough."
