The sight of Angel was such a welcomed relief that, for a second, all Cordelia could do was simply stare at him. Part of her wanted to run to him, toss her arms around his neck, and take shelter in the security she felt whenever he was around. Another part of him wanted to smack him senseless and demand he never leave ever again.
Ultimately, though, Cordelia simply gave a nod of her head and a small, tired smile. "More or less. Katara almost went all vengeance girl on us. It was kinda intense for a second there," she replied simply before heading past Angel, into the office.
"I was thinking about pizza for dinner, combined with a massive research session. Open it up to volunteers or something. Do you need anything from the butcher's? Usually I can get the delivery guy to swing by for an extra twenty," she commented, grabbing a bottle of water and peering back at Angel curiously.
