"Eh, I figure why not," Spike said, propping his feet up on the edge of the table without a care, "it's one surefire way to piss off the family and we all know how much I love doing that." He could remember Peter getting annoyed with him to the point where he had actually chosen to invade Spike's old flat to attack him. Good fucking times.
At her last comment, Spike looked at her in amusement. "If I didn't know any better, I'd assume that was a really bad pick-up line." He leaned forward, shoving a handful of bills toward her. "That's for you. This..." He lifted his half and began to organize it all out in front of himself. "Is mine. So long as you bring me more money and entertainment, I'll happily play housing for you when you've got too much shit to deal with back at home."
