Spike pulled up a chair and began to watch as things played out. He chattered merrily with the group and made a few amusing comments about how easy all of this was going to be for them, but deep down he knew that it was all just lighthearted talk while they drank themselves into their losses. Idiots.
"Feeling all right over there, cheerleader?" Spike asked, glancing over at her with a grin.
The others burst into laughter, pointing out how she'd be gone soon along with the human. Spike cheerfully nodded in agreement. "Oh, yeah, this little girl doesn't stand a chance. Why don't you boys show her how it's done?" He poured a few more rounds and leaned back, looking far too gleeful for a person who was rooting against the person he had been spending his time with five minutes ago.
