Cathy looked truly sympathetic. "I can't speak for the book, but it's a beautiful play," she offered, as if that would somehow help. "There was actually just a production here in town." She omitted the part where she had a hand in it. The thought struck her that had she been about a day earlier, the real Eponine might have caught the last matinee. She shuddered inwardly at the thought.
Real, proper boutiques? What qualified as one, anyway? Whatever, she'd take her to the mall. "Sure." She grinned. "Does that sound okay?"
