Well that had been the strangest proposal she'd ever encountered but it had seemed to be a yes by way of answer. And still she felt for all the world like an intruder in all of this, probably because to be perfectly honest with herself, she was. They wouldn't want her here after everything.
She couldn't help bring them back. There was one way she knew of to bring back the dead, the same way Dean knew intimately, but Claire could. Castiel could. She'd found herself awkwardly looking around the room, anywhere but at them. Even Castiel while he worked at healing Dean, but then Claire spoke, actually spoke to her. It wasn't worry she was expressing. More that she probably felt she had to ask, had to make sure out of some human need to check that everyone was okay, even the demon bitch in the corner that desperately wanted to be anywhere but here.
"They kicked the body about a bit" she told Claire in answer, "I smoked out before they could really get into it. I'm bruised a little, I don't think I'm bleeding or..." Her eyes rose slightly at the comment, funny how even a simple question could leave her feeling awkward "...or anything like that." she finished quietly.
"Anyway, I should probably go. There's nothing I can do here"
Ruby was loathe to admit it but those demons, the animalistic breed she'd so looked down on terrified her, more than anything had in quite a while. But she was a little more scared of Claire and Dean right now. And Castiel had a job to do.
Though Claire still had her knife she assumed Castiel could take it back for her. So scared as she was of walking the streets alone right now, she should go, she really truly should go. But dammit if she didn't want Castiel with her when she did. Her eyes searched the room finding his for a moment before looking down again. She couldn't meet their gazes right now, any of them.
