Despite the situation, with all the blood and all the pain, the smallest of smiles came over Castiel's face at Dean's ramblings. In his experience, near death situations often made mortals more honest about their feelings, so as much as Dean sounded as though he was babbling, Castiel had his own suspicions as to how genuine he was being.
"Claire's just fine, she's right here," he spoke softly still as he concentrated on healing Dean, the bullets coming out one by one as the muscle and tissue knitted itself back together.
"Claire's not dead and you are not going to die," he told him firmly. Even the brief lapse into unconsciousness did not change the strength of his feelings on that.
"You are both going to be fine and then you will really be the winner," a hint of amusement crept into his tone as he looked up, still healing Dean as he offered a reassuring look to Ruby. Still, it seemed as though Claire was the one to need the most reassurance right then.
"He'll be fine, Claire, I promise you." And, he privately thought, he may well repeat that question when the danger was passed.
