Ruby's eyes widened at the hand on her shoulder. Of course he'd be here. Dean was in danger. But in that second before he coaxed her hand away and told Claire to sit back, he looked at her. Seemingly happy with her for the first time in a long time. Still, now wasn't the time to think of how good it made her feel. She stood, taking a few steps back letting Cas do what he needed to do.
And then she realised what Dean had rambled at Claire, what he'd asked her and what she'd said, and she suddenly felt more awkward than ever. She really truly shouldn't be here for this.
She backed up a few paces more looking down at the floor, anything but focusing on what was happening around her.
She needed out of here, but of course that paled in comparison to the need to have Dean healed. Of course it did. And Claire still had her knife, though admittidly she felt safer now with Castiel here.
She raised her eyes just for a moment to see that Castiel really was healing him before looking down awkwardly.
