Jared lowered his gaze bashfully at her words. He wasn’t use to pretty girls being flirty with him, even if it was unintentional. Jared’s life had been mainly devoted to destruction and revenge. Things like love, friendship and affection were alien concepts to the troubled vampire. “It’s not that I can’t sleep at all. I’m sick you see. My illness doesn’t allow me much desire to sleep” he explained best he could without burdening her with all his problems or sounding melodramatic. He nodded his head “You’re right I’m not like the ones here either. I didn’t have choice to become what I am. I was born a vampire.”
“…yes I have been trying to be in better control of myself” He didn’t mention the fact that he wasn’t doing such a good job at that but it was true he did seem to have a somewhat better attitude. At least now he wasn’t directly homicidal and was attempting conversation without being extremely uneasy. Gently he shrugged his shoulders again “It’s quite alright…I met Mitchell briefly. We have an understanding” She had no idea how rare that was for the vampire-hating vampire to decide not to kill a vampire. Killing vampires was Jared’s daily bread and butter. His brow-less brow lifted when she informed him about the special glass “I will have to keep that in mind then” That simple knowledge made his virus induced rage to flare but he managed to choke it back with a slight smile “I would like that Annie”
