Jack wasn't used to this. The quiet life. Distancing himself from the ones he called friends. Working a regular job at all hours of the day. Being on call job-guy for more than three months. He was getting restless. Jack Landors wasn't one who was known for staying in one place for that long. He loved being a detective, sure. How long had he been fighting? Had things gotten any better? They had their quiet down time every now and then sure. But in the end how much had things really changed? Had they made a difference in the future?
Would they ever just..win? Jack wasn't so sure. He wasn't sure him being a detective was really making a difference. Shouldn't he be focusing more on the big picture? He didn't know anymore. He didn't know what he wanted. He wanted...safety. He wanted to see L.A. get better. To see night fall without fear. He needed to do something different. Maybe it was just his cold feet talking, who knew. What he did know was if something didn't change soon he was going to go stir crazy.
He had a special target set up for himself. Much like the S.P.D. range back home. Three targets, three shots. One score. A little concentration, a little luck and he could hit them all with two. It was frustrating, Sky and his bitch friend Dru could hit three in one. He had the better shot, always did, always will. They were ...they studied. The targets were moving, they spent hours training. This was his first time today. The shooting range was an open one, unlike the police firing range. He really didn't know why he chose to spend the last half of his day surrounded in more gunfire. But in a strange way it was relaxing. It reminded him of the Academy.
