Morgan letting go of his hand so quickly as if he had cooties went unnoticed by Hunter. It didn't concern him if she generally had a problem with being within a too close proximity to him. At the moment, the feeling was mutual. "I'll try not to be smothering, all right?" he asked, mostly reminding himself not to be too much of a dad with her. By the time they had reached the top of the stairs again, Hunter had pulled a decent amount of cash out of his pocket and had deposited it on the front counter with a smile towards the girl. The thing was, Hunter would never pity anyone for being in love with Cal. No matter how lovely the poor person was that was tricked into the relationship.
While Morgan was trying to push Cal from her mind, Hunter was trying to push his parents out of his own. He didn't want to think about them right now, especially when he thought they didn't even exist in this place. It would be such wishful thinking from his part, and he was never one to get his hopes up more than was necessary.
Hunter pulled his wool coat around him tightly as they stepped out onto the streets. Without the sun around it was far too cold, even by England's standards. "The apartment isn't too far away from here." he commented, looking back at Morgan to check if she was still following him. Thankful that she hadn't been torn away by a group of rampant vampires, he turned his attention back to walking. His thoughts were set completely on the location of the apartment. As a seeker, he had trained himself to keep his thoughts on one objective and one objective only. After about ten minutes of walking they reached the building and Hunter lead the way inside to the staircase. Two flights of stairs later he was fumbling in his pocket for his keys and pushing the door open.
"There's the lounge. The kitchen is in there, the bathroom over there and the bedroom there." he said, pointing at each respective doorway or living space. "As I said, I will sleep on the couch until I can afford some more suitable living arrangements. Tomorrow, we can go to the shops and get supplies. I would imagine you don't really feel up to wearing one outfit for the rest of however long we have here." With that, he walked off into his bedroom and shut the door to let her have a look around.
