So the idea wasn't completely impossible. Interesting to know. But considering the only people she'd ever experienced who knew how to use magick were witches, it kind of made her wonder what else there was. She shrugged. "I guess. Between the two of us you'd likely know more about something like that, not me." She only knew how to light stuff on fire with her mind and what Cal had told her. Which, in retrospect, she didn't know was true or not. Even with her lack of knowledge, it seemed she was just a bit less lost than he was. At least she could still use magick. Without magick, Hunter was just normal. Smart, but normal.
It wasn't possible for something like the dark wave to be pleasant, even if you were the most optimistic of the optimists in the world. It was most definitely a big deal. Something you couldn't just ignore. Even if it wasn't the dark wave, something was going on in this city. The sun just didn't disappear for no reason. She wasn't entirely expecting him to ask her to stay with him. It was sudden, but he was only doing it to be protective, no doubt. And from the looks of it, he wasn't going to take no for an answer. "Is it because you think I can't take care of myself," she asked. She couldn't help but ask him that. Stubborn and independent, remember? "Because I can..." Morgan ran a hand through her hair, brushing some of it back behind her ear. "But, since I almost died twice today, it doesn't make much sense to say no..." Today just wasn't her day to argue, was it.
As expected, she bypassed the tea and went straight for the diet Coke. Predictable. She smiled. So he did have a sense of humor. Good to know. "You say that, but that's probably your secret reason why you do. But I'll give you the 'good for you' part." But it still wasn't enough to keep her away from the diet Coke. As if to punctuate that, she took a long sip from the glass, wondering just what he'd say about her preference for the 'dark side of beverages' as her parents had called it as well.
