Confused was the perfect word for what she felt at that point. After almost dying once, then being pulled randomly to the streets in some city and then almost becoming dinner to vampires...she was confused. Not to mention scared and betrayed. Before, when Cal had been teaching her ways to control her powers, she'd hated Hunter. Hated him with every fiber of her being for accusing Cal of being evil. Of being a dark witch. She'd been blinded by her love for Cal at the time and that in turn only amplified her disgust with Hunter. And the anger. But now that Morgan knew that Cal really was evil and he did practice dark magick...she felt terrible for all that. Especially how she'd protected Cal when he and Hunter had fought.
She put her hands in her pockets, just looking at him. "I hope that was sarcasm. Otherwise I'd have to call you crazy." Her expression was neutral at this point. "Can you please stop looking at me like I'm going to hurt you?" she asked, the slightest of edges to her voice, "I promise I'm not." The second half of the statement was softer, more genuine. A sigh passed her lips. In her mind, she was searching for a way to voice her thoughts. To admit that he had been right about Cal, but also to ask how it was that he'd just saved her from dying in Cal's pool house but was standing here in front of her not too long afterwards. "Look," she said, trying again to collect her thoughts, "you were right...about Cal I mean." Saying his name made her chest ache. "He...he tried to kill me before I was pulled here..."
"But you should know that already. You were one of the ones who came to save me..."
