Scouting around the place for an empty shop to use for the new Practical Magick wasn't too hard. Most people had packed up their things and left L.A long ago. Which, while it wasn't exactly a comfort for Hunter on the state of the city itself, it reassured him that he could easily set up shop somewhere. After some careful browsing on the internet, he had found people who sold items he was looking for. Including herbs, which they had cultivated in a greenhouse some way or another.
Hunter's mind kept wandering back to Widow's Vale and Cal. Briefly Morgan, but for some reason his mind kept flickering over to his mutual hatrid for Cal. It infuriated him that his power wasn't all that powerful in comparison to his or Morgan's to begin with, but now that it was gone completely he had no chance of fighting Cal should he turn up out of the blue.
He heard a voice off in the near distance, a man, mentioning dinner. Probably a vampire if he didn't know any better. He considered for a moment if he should run off and play the hero. Throw a couple of punches. Impressive ones, he hoped. Something was different about the person they were preying on though. He felt a familiar tingle. It was faint, but it still alerted him that his powers were still there.. As well as someone else's.
He turned into a small street off of the one he was walking down just before and spotted a small group of vampires with the addition of a girl. The light was poor, and he couldn't see her face but he could tell that she was in some deep trouble and that she probably couldn't get out of her current predicament too easily.
Hunter hurridly walked up behind the vampire and threw, what he thought to be a pretty decent punch at the back of his head. Instead, he ended up wincing and wishing he had gone for the back of the legs. Like a sweep kick or something ridiculous from those Ralph Maccio films in the eighties he'd been unfortunate to watch. Taking a step back, he glared at the vampires with his green eyes and nursed his fist. Hunter could at least feel proud about the fact that the vampire had let go of the girl's neck.
