Maybe? Faith couldn't help the skeptical look that came over her face.
"Well, duh," she softened the sarcasm with a slight smirk. "Glad you're on the same page, giant, 'cause the rest of us already got there, weeks ago."
The alternative was finding a way to incapacitate Ruby. Like wrenching her out of that body and putting her in a box, that would still fit with what the PTB had said. Or, goading her into trying again and forcing the PTB's hand. God, that was tempting.
But, stripped past the sarcasm and the anger, Faith was somewhat lost. She chewed on her lip slightly, looking as confused as she felt.
"I don't know what I'm meant to do here," she admitted. Here, in this room. Here, in this relationship. Here, in this whole situation. She meant all of it.
