"Little mess back home called Zero Hour pulled me from 1945 to about sixty years later," she explained. "Still ain't sure why or how, but the war I'd been fightin' was over, most of my friends were dead- and the ones who weren't were gettin' close- and the companies who made the planes that shot at as made cars an' DVD players," she told him, pausing to take a sip from her beer. "But it had its upsides. No one looked at me funny for sayin' I was a pilot no more- they were real leery of lettin' women fly in my day," she told him. "Back home, it was about three years later than now, so I guess I kinda got pulled back a bit when I got yanked over here," she added. "What about you- what's your story?"
