Dean was thankful that Claire didn't listen to the thing (Dean refused to think of these otherworldly beings as people) who told her she could let Ben speak. Perhaps the repercussions for something offending that his son said would not be immediate, but Dean was certain that they would happen...and he didn't want to risk his son. Likewise, the smile that was aimed at his mother was bothersome as well. He wasn't quite sure how to read these beings, whether the smile was an act of warmth and acceptance, or something malicious.
Mary peaked over John's shoulder. While his protectiveness made her feel very loved and safe, she did want to keep an eye on things, to make sure that no one harmed her family, and to absorb every detail. It seemed that this entire meeting was about ensuring that the blood sucking, the trying to raise Lucifer out of hell, didn't happen again. Maybe they'd offer some advise on what they as a family could do to keep Sam in the clear. Then again, would any of them trust the advise of these beings who both gave and took away blessings? She wasn't sure.
When John asked if they were done, Dean tensed. The question itself wasn't rude, but the fact that John was asking to leave could be very dangerous to creatures so used to being in control. Dean could only hope the answer was a simple yes and they were all returned where they came from.
