The Oracles were in favor of their family? If Sam wasn't so terrified, he'd likely be struggling to suppress a snort of disbelief. Had they forgotten all that they had done to harm their family? What they had not done to keep them from being harmed? The concept of them being nothing more than little toys in their big world? They had taken people away from them with a snap of their almighty fingers. People that they loved and cared about. If they favored them so much, why would they play with their hearts like that?
Still, Sam couldn't deny that they seemed to show some form of favoritism toward their family. Otherwise he'd be dead. Or nothing. Whatever it was that they had suggested for Ruby. Sam uncertainly folded his arms over his chest. He was having a hard time keeping his focus on everything with Ruby right there in the same room, but what little attention he could muster was dialed on the fact that the Powers That Be weren't coming off the way he had expected.
Dean was talking about shooting Ruby. A very silent part of him instantly wanted to pipe in and agree. But still, all the while, Sam remained silent. He had been the entire time. He was afraid that speaking would either change the minds of the higher beings before them on their passing of his current situation or it would inspire Ruby to come over and tempt him with what he was certain he was supposed to be staying far, far away from.
Silence was best. He'd be unnoticed. Insignificant. Also? Not smited.
