Nothingness, absolute nothingness. The concept terrified Ruby and almost instinctively she tried to back up a pace or two wanting Castiel to protect her like he usually would have. But they were all around her. And she supposed he was done protecting her. Was it that big, what she'd done? That far reaching. She'd just done what she'd been destined to do, what Azazel and Lilith had told her was needed to free Lucifer from hell and she wanted that, wanted it with everything she had been. But here, now. She wondered if all this, all she'd caused. Sam. She wondered if it would have been worth it. If maybe Castiel was right on some level. She'd never wanted this. She could feel his gaze on her, Castiel believing he'd failed in his faith. Dean and John, Mary, Ben, Claire.
And powers of the level of Lucifer himself telling her they could erase her from existance if she tried again. She didn't doubt they could. But truth be told she'd already made her peace with the fact that she had failed, that she'd made her mistake and Lucifer would not now rise back home. In any dimension or any time because it seemed her way out had not been that, she took the time to glare at Eve, standing there with an expression of utter irritating smugness, and to thank...well Castiel for being the one to uncover her plans. He'd been merciful. More than she deserved, maybe because he loved her, maybe for other reasons, she didn't know. In all their conversations, he'd never said.
She finally let herself look at the Winchesters, at Faith and Claire, just a glance before focusing back on the powers before her. She still felt for all the world like a Prisoner of War, but they were letting her live.
They were allowing her another chance and she didn't understand that.
"...I won't try again, I...I just wanted..."
She trailed off, truth be told it didn't matter what she wanted, they wouldn't care, no one here would care. And Castiel he was there, just that little bit to far for her to reach though her hand did streach out. Too far, and he wouldn't. That was over, she'd seen to that.
They hadn't warned her she might loose everything but in truth what had she had when she'd started this, Sam had been a weapon, his family a non entity in her mind and Castiel had been just one of the angels that so terrified her to even think of. And she'd still risked it all on a hope. And lost.
"You're being suprisingly merciful for all powerful beings and all, Why not just make with the erasing?"
She paused looking up at the woman, seemingly the most caring of the four. But it was the Liason that answered her.
"Resources, sweetie. The power that would take, it'd be a drain on both sides and we don't need to do it yet. Not if you promise to play nice. But not too nice. I personally kinda wanna see what you do next. You're fun for a little back cloud of smoke"
Eve stepped back beside the Hamilton manifestation and very much did not roll her eyes at the *look* shot in her direction from the male power. She wasn't as powerful, not by far and she still didn't know how the Senior Partners felt about her after the whole...betrayal and all.
Really they should like betrayal. It was very them.
She looked around at the assembled eyes finding the Slayer on her knees, so many comments she could make so little time, but this wasn't the place. And the stoic angel just amused her.
"I don't think those angels know how to relax" she decided.
Ruby meanwhile had lowered her head again.
"Right, Then I promise...for what thats worth"
Now Eve decided she could eyeroll "Not a whole lot, but the threat of being utterly erased from existance tends to make people fall in line" she glanced back at the Senior Partners "Really"
