A very large part of her didn't want him to go. She was almost afraid if he went, she'd somehow lose him again. But he did look exhausted and that meant he really needed to be back at the house.
"Yeah," She nodded, with no small amount of awkwardness, as she watched him stand up, remaining where she was, sitting on the floor.
"I'd better not be," she looked up, trying to keep her tone light, even if there was a trace of seriousness in her face. "Or I really will kick your ass. For the record." Was she being stupid, giving him another chance? Would he ever really be able to regain her trust? God, she hoped so, so much it actually hurt.
