"Yeah, but there's a difference between trying and..." Faith hesitated, having trouble actually saying it. "that." She sighed, rubbing a tired hand over her face. "Everyone has to try, and work together. It doesn't fall to one person to save everyone. And none of us would have wanted you to do that if you'd actually asked us, trusted us."
That was a large part of what stung the most, the fact that he'd confided and trusted in Ruby more than the rest of them, even her. He'd let Ruby whisper her poison in his ears and hadn't let any of the rest of them close enough to prove her wrong. There was still things Faith wanted to know, details that a masochistic side of her wanted, but not today. It was too much for today.
"I hope you do," she said quietly. The idea of Sam actually waking up and realizing it had all been blood induced was terrifying, and now that she was giving him another chance she wasn't sure she could deal with it if he did change his mind.
She eyed him with concern as he slumped back, still so damn worried and scared for him. "Are you okay?"
