Faith actually laughed, with no small amount of disbelief. "And how are we actually better than anyone? We're no different, we're just people, as flawed and fucked up as any of them."
It was almost eerie, listening to Sam now was like listening to herself all those years back. When she was so convinced that all she needed was herself on her side, that to let anyone else close was weakness.
