Castiel was silent for a long moment, the only noise in the apartment coming from the clock in the kitchen as the seconds ticked away.
"I know why," he said after a while before he moved to the nearby chair, dragging it out from under the desk as the wood dragged against the floor before he sat down, his limbs feeling about as heavy as his heart right then.
When he finally looked up at her, his eyes were filled with a cold fury.
"Change your tactics? And I'm supposed to be, what, grateful for that? You adjusted the way you had to go about betraying all of them because you suddenly had to get around me as well?"
He shook his head in disgust, angry, just so so angry.
"What sort of naive child are you? How could you have honestly thought this would end well, that it wouldn't destroy them, and him too."
