Slipping her hand into his, Claire threaded her fingers with his and squeezed lightly. She didn't need him spelling out his thoughts to be able to tell where his mind was going, as his body language and expressions said that for him. He was torn and though she hated to see him so out of his element like this, this lack of control over the situation that was affecting Sam so heavily, she was relieved to see it because Dean's faith and persistence was something to build her own up with. He wouldn't give up on Sam.
But eh also had a responsibility to Ben, a responsibility that Claire saw as priority because as close as Dean and Sam had been until recent months, Ben needed a dad first and foremost. They could go back to her house and not hear any of it, but then it would take the others longer to find them than it would if they were simply just out of earshot and still on the property.
"Outside's good," she said finally with a nod, steeling herself against another flinch from the noise Sam was making. They were more than a wall over and she could barely stand it without wanting to cry, she didn't know how the others could handle being closer right now with the clear desperation.
