The finality of it hit her, and Diana averted her face from the light a moment as she fought off the disappointment, coupled with a horrible sense of aloneness that she hadn't expected to feel. Until now, there had been a chance, however slim, that she wasn't isolated in coming here. But Bruce didn't seem to be hiding anything. He truly did not know her.
"No, I'm sorry," she said, after a moment, looking back at him. "You don't know me, and I'm sure this has appeared to you to be some sort of trick. That wasn't my intention." Her fingers curled around the lasso, and she took a small bit of comfort in that; she always had the truth, if nothing else. "I am Diana Prince, just as you are Bruce Wayne....and just like you are called Batman here, you are known the same in my world." She looked up at the sky, the stars brighter for the lack of moonlight. "Which is not this one, as I now know for certain. But where I come from, I go by the name Wonder Woman. There, you and I have worked together, fought side by side, for many years." She looked back to him now, even though she couldn't see his eyes. She lacked the skill Clark had, to see in such detail, but she could sense his gaze. "I'm also fairly certain you won't believe me, and assume I am quite mad. I don't blame you...I wish I was, frankly."
