That was all he needed to hear to turn away from the hotel and head back towards her. The smirk was brief, fading slightly when she mentioned cages and fire princesses in the basement. He opened his mouth as if he was about to ask but at the last moment, decided that he didn't need to know all that badly why there was a fire princess in the basement. "All right then."
He walked beside her as they headed for the borrowed car, making appropriate sounds of protest. "Say all you want. The only talk that matters is the one backed up with the putter," he replied. "Good luck getting that look."
Eliot faltered as they finally reached the car. It was a Beetle. He looked her way but she was already getting into the vehicle. A tiny little Beetle. He eyed the car a few seconds longer and then shook his head, reaching out to pull open the car door. He tossed his coat into the backseat before dropping down into the passenger's seat.
"That didn't come in the package too? Drive like Andretti?" He shut the door and reached for his seat belt, giving it a tug after the click to make sure it wouldn't be coming loose on him. Just in case she wasn't exaggerating. "Fancy," he stated as his window rolled down.
She wasn't all that bad. His foot had only pressed down on the floor like there was a brake pedal there twice. Getting around in Los Angeles required a little bad driving anyway. "I am bouncing at the Lux. Just a few shifts picked up to help out the owners," he replied as he shifted again, trying to find the right spot to get comfortable.
