Hermione glanced away when she saw the look in his eyes, something was wrong. It made her feel worse, worry and fear taking over. The feel of her wand was comforting, but something told her that using her wand wouldn't be an option. She wouldn't be able to move fast enough. She swallowed at his words of how hungry he was, and she realised that was one of the things wrong with his eyes. The deep hunger she could see in them, like the way a lion would stare at its prey. Then he asked her to come closer, and she knew without a doubt that she wouldn't.
"I don't think so," she said as strongly as she could, trying to get past the face. She could draw her wand, stop him, it wasn't Scorpius. But that fear that she wouldn't be quick enough still went through her head.
